Ranakpur Jain temple or Chaturmukha Dharana Vihara is a Jain temple at Ranakpur is dedicated to Tirthankara Rishabhanatha.The temple is located in a village of Ranakpur near Sadri town in the Pali district of Rajasthan. Darna Shah, a local Jain businessperson, started construction of the temple in the 15th century following a divine vision. The temple honors Adinath, the first Tirthankar of the present half-cycle (avasarpiṇī) according to Jain cosmology. The Ranakpur temple is one of the largest and most important temples of Jain culture. The campus includes various temples such as Chaumukha temple, Surya temple, Suparshvanatha temple and Amba temple.

It used to be under the reign of Sindhal Rathores. Sadri works as a gateway to Marwar from Mewar.


SURYA NARAYAN TEMPLE

Surya Narayan Temple is a beautiful temple projecting various wall murals on its wall of circular structures and is dedicated to Sun God. It also features a sculpture of Lord Surya riding a chariot with seven horses. In the vicinity lies another major temple of Amba Mata which also attracts lots of devotees.


MUCHHAL MAHAVIR TEMPLE

As the name suggests, Muchhal Mahavir Temple is dedicated to Lord Mahavir and is situated in the Kumbhalgarh Sanctuary. The prime attraction of the temple is an idol of Lord Mahavir with a moustache. The temple also features two sculptures of elephants at the entrance gateway in guarding position.
